Golden Temple --3 AM

3am version of Golden temple was so magnificent, delighting and pleasant with soothing holy chants as you can see and hear in the video.

My First bag pack trip – I never thought of going in such kind of bag pack trip. It was so quick and random which I haven’t realised back then but now this trip create a great story, memories and best experience of having no idea no plans where to go!

Lazy Friday morning in campus, Bathinda. I remember we were planning to go to Amritsar for weekend but then it got cancelled as one of our friend have to submit Assignments. We all decided not to go to the Golden temple. Friends are always being a comfortable zone to make or delay plans.

5:30pm – Friday, all of a sudden Archana and swathy came to my room they wake me up from my sweet nap and said “Nikita, come on pack your bag fast we have to catch a train at 6:30pm to Amritsar. Till then I thought it was a dream but eventually it’s not. We are actually going to Amritsar. I’m packing my bags in full sleepy and shocking mode. It was too fast like I didn’t know what I was packing. I’m just filling my bag with unnecessary things. That’s it we were all set to go for Amritsar, done formalities at the gates of our college. Exactly at 6pm all of us started our journey from auto rickshaw & yes we are running late. Convincing rickshaw bhaiya to drive faster as we didn’t want to miss the train. Somehow we all manage to reach our respective seats in train. This train journey seems too long because all of us are too Hunger, we ate nothing during travelling.

Midnight at 1:30 pm reached Amritsar and railway station wasn’t so rabble. From there we got a bus to the temple. It was amazing to see night view of those empty market roads. I always like late night timings for example late night shopping, late night jogging, having late night ice creams (chocolates too), late night drive, late night walks etc. I don’t know why but Yes I do like the late night vibes. It might be due to fewer peoples, no mess and no traffic. Anyway Leave it.

Ultimately the wait is over, Gorgeous Sleepless beauty - The Golden temple. The Golden Temple is a holy place for both the Sikhs and Hindu. The Golden Temple is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Sikhism is an independent religion, the 5th biggest religion in the world. Let’s talk about how it feels to see the temple which we have seen in books. When I entered and saw the temple….My first expression for instance is like Wow…….those twinkling sky under which a golden shining light come from reflection of temple…. it was so beautiful and mesmerizing.

One of the Magical moments of my life, it feels like I’m closer to my inner happiness and somewhere between the heaven and the paradise. I don’t know if heaven exist or not but that was exactly as heaven has been described. I was just standing and staring at one of the wonders. I can’t take off my eyes from that shiny golden temple. Every one of us forgot about our rumbling stomach, sleep, travel and tiredness because scenario is worth the effort.

We start taking photos, videos and walking towards temple to take a closer look. Most of them are Punjabis over there but other religion people were also coming with same enthusiasm. Dark night, shiny Golden temple shadow was looking captive in still water of Sarovar (Pool). All of us were going inside the temple with the queue. One of the bucket list wish got ticked. It took us about half an hour inside the Gurudwara for worshipping. Alluring and Majestic sound was produced through hymn creating more peace and calm in the mind.

We spend whole night inside the temple. Simply seating there, talking about Gurudwara infrastructure, Sikhs rituals (Punjabi children are damn cute) and seeing fishes inside Sarovar, embracing beauty of temple. I am never going to forget about the vibes of being alive moment of that night.

Holy place always leaves a remark on individual minds to remember them our whole life. Either it’s Ajmer Dargah, Golden Temple, Tanot Mata temple in Jaisalmer, Monasteries or other holy place. Each spiritual place holds unique things in them which attract visitors. Pilgrims are symbol of peace and calm as a result, it works as a magnet for folks.
